Imagine how dope it would be to belong to or be a member of one of the many major fantasy or science fiction universes, such as Marvel, Star Trek, or Star Wars.

I’ve thought about this a lot, and screw being in just one; I want to be in them all. What a geeky thing to admit?
I tried to make this happen once. In April 2012, I attended an Iron Man 3 casting call for extras at Crabtree Mall in Raleigh.
Unfortunately, the third Iron Man was filmed in North Carolina without me. I never heard from the casting company. It wasn’t my time to join the Marvel Universe yet.

But I might have found a method in one of the other major universes, the one in a galaxy far, far away.
Disney announced a while back that Ryan Gosling would lead an upcoming Star Wars film directed by Shawn Levy.

Over the past week, the rest of the Star Wars: Starfighter cast was announced online. The project features some fantastic actors and actresses. Somewhere and somehow, between all the content about this, a crazy plan was planted in my mind to become someone in this universe among the light and dark sides of the Force.
Let me tell you that this dumb plan is dependent on a series of impossible tasks and events.
1) Travel back in time, preferably by TARDIS.

2) Be born in England.

3) Become an actor and get cast as Will McKenzie in the British series, The Inbetweeners.

4) Play Will McKenzie again in the first The Inbetweeners movie.

5) Get cast as Adam Goodman in Friday Night Dinner

6) Play Will McKenzie a third time in The Inbetweeners 2.

7) Finally, bide my time (10 to 15 years) until I get cast in Star Wars: Starfighter

This is the way to join the Star Wars Universe if only time travel existed. This plan won’t work.
However, removing the time travel did work for Simon Bird; steps 2 through 7 were his possible tasks and events. Bird actually did all these things. He is among the actors and actresses recently announced to be playing characters in the upcoming Star Wars film.
I’ll have to explore the Marvel, Star Trek, or Star Wars universes in another way. I’m just having some fun.
There is currently no plot for Star Wars: Starfighter listed on IMDb.
Gosling leads a stacked cast that includes the great Amy Adams, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, and Daniel Ings.
Star Wars: Starfighter is expected to premiere on May 28, 2027.
